A Piece of Tasmania’s Wild Beauty at Meadow Mews

Celebrate the species that surround us

We’re delighted to unveil a stunning new artwork at Meadow Mews Plaza, created by talented local artist Mel McVee. This beautiful piece has been installed in the heart of the centre, offering shoppers and visitors a unique glimpse into the natural wonders of Tasmania.


Mel’s work is a vibrant celebration of the wildlife and plant life that make our island so special. The mural features the delicate female Scarlet Robin, the striking Emerald Moth and Shiny Forester Moth, alongside an array of colourful native flora. From the bold Waratah and Mountain Pepper Berry to the climbing Running Postman, Native Raspberry, Purple Appleberry, Bluespike Milkwort, and Tasmanian Guinea Flower, each element is a tribute to the beauty of our natural environment.


It’s more than just artwork - it’s a celebration of the place we live, the species we treasure, and the community we share.
